The debut CD featured guest vocals from rock legend, Bonnie Bramlett, which led to a successful Bonnie Bramlett/Old Union Northeastern tour including a critically acclaimed appearance at the Edmonton Folk Festival in Canada and the Charlie Daniel's Angelus Benfit Concert at the Ford Ampetheater in Tampa FL. Their relationship with Bonnie and experience on tour proved to help the band hone their skills as well as gain credibility from an older generation of rock listeners. The band sells out their first Midnight Special New Year's Eve Show at Nashville's Belcourt Theater.

Extensive touring landed spots on the festival circuit such as Bonnaroo and High Sierra. Having shared a western tour, Old Union and Mile 8 film the Halloween DVD at their welcome home show at Nashville's Exit/In. Cash was drawn to the band by their songwriting ability and called their sound; "lyrically poignant, sonically explosive, emotionally charged and culturally significant. The best new rock music I've heard in years."
Bassist Ben Bridges leaves the band to focus solely on a project with his brother, Flat Rock Revival.
Jason Williams joins the band to complete the current line up. This year found it's end with the third annual sold out New Years show at The Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, which featured the one time Allman Brother member Johnny Neel.
